Journal, 1931, of C. M. Marquardt recording observations (in text and drawings) made regarding the technical aspects of mining while visiting a series of iron mines in the summer of 1931. Marquardt might have been studying mining at the time. Mines visited include the Ironton Mine; Newport Mine, near Puritan, Mi.; Montreal Mine, near Hurley, Wisc.; Wakefiled and Plymouth Mines; Puritan Mine; Susquehanna Mine; Sargen Mine, Minn.; Bennett Mine, Minn. and others.

Minute book, 1877-1892, kept by Ambrose L. Henkel while serving as secretary of the Alumni Association of the New Market Polytechnic Institute, New Market, Va. The volume has circulars tipped in that were printed by Henkel & Co., New Market, Va.

Stone was the founder of Stone Printing Company in Roanoke, that started in the late 1890s, and Moore took over as President when Stone passed away. Includes documents and signatures of well known people, such as Benjamin Harrison, John Randolph and Franklin D. Roosevelt. Includes a typed letter to Rev. H.E. Lombard from Booker T. Washington, principal of The Tuskegee Normal and Industrial Institute, soliciting funds. Signed by Booker T. Washington. April 6, 1914.

Journals of the Girls' Industrial Home, a reform school in White Sulphur, Delaware County, Ohio, 1894-1895. Recorded are daily transactions at the school, from chores and meals to visits of the chaplain and board members. The journal documents predominantly the management and administration of the reform school. Occasionally it mentions the arrivals of new girls. Also documented are arrangements for holiday meals and entertainment, supplies ordered, crockery broken, gifts received.
