ORCID @ W&M

A persistent, automatically updated record of your scholarly work

Sign in to NCBI with ORCID

If you have an NCBI account or a PubMed account, you can connect your ORCID iD with those accounts. This will let ORCID add your citations to your ORCID iD. You can also use SciENcv to create CVs more easily. See "Connect to SciENcv" for more information.

Connecting ORCID to My NCBI

  1. Login to NCBI or PubMed. If you don't already have an account, you can create one by clicking the link for ORCID in the list of options. This will automatically connect your My NCBI account with your ORCID account, and you can skip step 2.
  2. Link your account to ORCID - If you have an existing NCBI account, you can connect it to ORCID by updating your account settings:
    1. Click your name in the upper right corner and select "Account Settings"
    2. In the list for "All Available Partner Accounts", search for the account name "ORCID"
    3. Click the link for ORCID
    4. NCBI will ask you to sign in with your ORCID username and password
    5. You should now see ORCID in the list of your linked accounts
