HINTS:

• Keep searches simple: these are specialized databases so your searches don't need to be complex. For example, if you're in a newspaper database you don't need to use "newspaper" as a keyword. If you're in a history database, you don't need "history" as a keyword.
• Use quotation marks and use AND.  For example "Richmond Triangle Players"  or "LGBT Community Center" AND Cleveland.
• Using  OR helps if you put it in parentheticals. For example, (LGBT* OR queer) AND Richmond
• Use the asterisk * for terms with various forms and endings, example: LGBT*

Using PRIMO, find a review of any recent performance or production from your theatre.

HINT: Use quotation marks and boolean searching to limit results. You might need to use the reviews tab to limit results.

Using LGBTQ+ Source, find an academic article about queer or lgbt* issues in the theatre's host city.

HINT: Keep it basic! Use the city name as a keyword, use AND, and only use a couple search terms. 

Use WorldCat to find a book about queer or lgbt* issues in the theatre's host city.  
Books with a relevant chapter count too.

HINT: you may need to go to the second page of results.  Use quotation makes, AND, and boolean generally.
 

Using the Census website, what is the current reported number of inhabitants who claim to belong to only one race in the theatre's home city?

HINT: Under tables, select "race" to load the data.

Using Nexis Uni to find any news article about your theatre.

HINT: Just quotation marks. Keep the search simple, like theatre AND city.   
In the main search box, set "previous 2 years" to "all available dates" and change "all content types" to "news"

Using LGBT Magazine Archive, find a primary source magazine article about your theatre.

HINT: keep the search simple. When looking in primary source databases, it's important not to use too many search terms.  
Since the database already specializes in LGBT* issues, you don't need many additional search terms.
