While the databases we subscribe to compile articles from many journals in a given field, sometimes it's useful to narrow your search down to browsing within a few ultra-relevant journals. Your professor recommends browsing these titles, which pertain to Russian/Slavic studies, Russian cinema, and women in Slavic countries.
Hint: You can search by keyword within these journals just like you would in a larger databases.
Bibliographies, while rare today, are somewhat of a labor of love for scholars. They're created by individuals who scour the appropriate journals, databases, and new books to pull out relevant articles and book chapters written about a topic within a given time period. The one linked below, Current Bibliographies from the Association for Women in Slavic Studies, regularly pulls together articles pertinent to those studying women in Slavic countries and publishes them for others to view.
Note that each bibliography appears to have both a General section for articles encompassing a wide range of Slavic nations, and a section for individual regions/countries.
