Diary of a 14 year old boy in the 8th and 9th grades who lived near Groversville, New York. Entries center around his school and extracurricular activities though he sometimes mentions his father and mother. He is on the baseball team and gives quick rundowns of the games, plus the results of professional team games. After school activities usually involve playing sports – football, baseball, tennis, basketball, marbles - with his friends or his school teams. In the evenings he goes to movies, usually giving the title and his opinion, and listens to fights or Sherlock Holmes on the radio. He is a Boy Scout. He attends Sunday School. During the summer he swims, takes a trip to Portland, Maine, reads and plays baseball, tennis and croquet.

Two diaries, 1907-1908 kept by Claire Lilian Wight (b. 1894) of Kalamazoo, Michigan. Claire Wight was 13 years old when she began her first diary in 1907. Claire records daily activities such as school visits, reading, attending concerts, social and family activities, vacations, taking music lessons and playing tennis and going to the YWCA. Also included are two calling cards, one of Claire's and one of her uncle as well as a newspaper clipping for the "Tennessee Colored Jubilee Singers," whose performance Claire mentions in her diary.

Diary, 1935 of Ruth Daisy Lamon of North Adams, Massachusetts. Ruth Lamon attended Drury High School and was a member of the class of 1936. In daily entries, some of which are rather detailed, she talks about her activities, school, social life and sports. Includes a playbill for a high school play.

In this Diary, 1890-1893 Stephen P. Middleton, who is living with his parents and siblings, describes his various jobs, being out of work, as well as social activities. He is very active in sports. Also included are YMCA sports programs.

Diary, 1942-1944, of Richard Rabenstein of Chester, West Virginia. Rabenstein was born on 5 December 1933, meaning that he was 8 when he started keeping this diary. Discusses events at school, at his church, scores of football and basketball games, the weather, and other issues.

Diary, 1933, of Clara Louise Schiefer, Rochester, N.Y. The following description was provided by the seller: "1933 handwritten diary of Clara-Louise Schiefer who had lived on Westland Ave. in Rochester, NY. Lots of memorabilia stuck in between the pages in regards to that day's entry. Some of the memorabilia items are: Vintage 1933 Halloween invitation to a party on Grosvenor Rd; School football photo of Brighton High School team..."

Diary kept by members of the Tabb family, entitled, "Summerville Diary." Written by Rebecca Lloyd Tabb and Mary Lee Tabb as well as other members of the Tabb family. The diary records activities such as baseball, card games, teas, gardening, John Tabb's school, etc.

Friendship album, 1934-1935, of a teenage boy, Jim, from Hesperia Michigan. Contains entries of poems and personal message from friends and family. Entries suggest that Jim is still in school and interested in sports.
