GEOL 150: Radioactive Pollution

Background

Welcome!

This guide was created to help you do research for your GEOL 100 course. Here you'll find databases and search strategies. If you're having any trouble finding what you're looking for, you can make a research appointment with myself or any research librarian, chat us, come up to the desk and ask a question, or send us an email

What happens when you make an appointment with me?

When you make an appointment with me through the scheduler (I schedule in 30 min blocks with a 30 min buffer in case we go long), I'll usually:

  • Email you to see if you want to meet in person in my office in Swem 130, on Zoom or by phone
  • Ask you what you want to meet about (topic, resources you may have searched, or if you just want to brainstorm, etc) - this helps me prepare but I can also see what I can find in the moment
  • Often I'll start a consultation sheet that you can refer back to for resources and keywords and send it to you at the end of our appointment
