My time as the Ask a Librarian intern for Swem has been invaluable for obtaining practical academic library experience. I'm extremely grateful to Swem leadership for acknowledging the challenges of breaking into academic libraries and establishing the Ask a Librarian internship to help reduce them. From online reference chat to one-on-one research consultations, I've developed and gained confidence in the skills necessary for future work as an academic librarian. I'm excited for the next person to hold this title and receive expert guidance from the incredible Swem team of librarians who are genuinely rooting for you!
