JSTOR provides access to books and journal articles across all subject areas. While it does not contain current issues of journals, it does have a large excellent coverage of older issues which makes JSTOR a great database to locate historic discussions for your literature reviews.

Does your topic touch on people and culture? Search anthropology online for research on material culture, social and cultural topics, archaeology and folklore.

Sociological abstracts provides access to research within the social and behavioral sciences including social structures, poverty, race, ethnicity, social change and control, political sociology, family and marriage.

ABI/INFORM is a great option for locating literature on economics and business related topics including economic trends, management, political economy, business, and policy.

GenderWatch provides access to research and historical perspectives on the women's movement, gender equity, gender identity, men's studies, the transgender community, changes in gender roles over the years and other related topics.

Search PsycINFO for articles and book chapters on psychological examines of topics like criminology and criminal justice, social work, peace and conflict studies, race and ethnicity, education, health, and policy.
