Honors English Research

A guide for those engaged in advanced or honors-level research in English language and literature.

Getting Started

Citing

  • You can find out most everything you need to know about citations from Purdue OWL:
  • Zotero is a software that lets you manage your articles and generates citations as you write.
    • You can download the application here
    • You can download the Word Processor Plug-in (which lets you insert citations as you write and will automatically generate a bibliography when you're done) here.
  • Refworks is also a program that is available to you as a William & Mary student. It is very similar to Zotero, though more fully integrated into most library databases.
  • Double check any citations that are automatically made for you by citation generators or databases! They often have small mistakes.
