Below are links to search results. In each case I did at least one thing wrong, which is why they yield zany results.
- I want recent (post 2000) books about the Africa and the Atlantic. Why does the catalog give me so many results?
- I want historic books (primary sources) about Sudan published before 1800. In HathiTrust I conduct a search & limit results to publications before 1800. Why are there so few?
- I searched for books about Ethiopia's History and found quite a few books in the catalog, so why does the same search in our history article database yield so many more results?
- When I search for "british Imperialism" AND Africa in Historical Abstracts I get about 100 articles; why are there so many results in GoogleScholar for the same search?
- I found a book cited online I want to read, but WM Libraries doesn't have a copy. How do I (legally) gain access?
- I found this really interesting journal article on African Christianity published by Oxford. Should I cite it as a research article in the final project?
