How do you effectively search the scientific literature? There are a number of ways to go about it but we’re going to look at three: searching by keyword; searching by author; and citation searching.
If you have a topic you’re interested in, you can do a keyword search.
If you have found a key paper and want to see who else has built on the work going forward, do a citation search. We've already seen some basic citation searching in Scopus and Scifinder-n.
