Searching from the Libraries homepage for Books & Media (aka our catalog) will get you started with finding books for your research.
Some search tips:
Try being as broad as possible with your initial search. Instead of "Harry Potter + community," start off just looking for "Harry Potter." Then you can sort through the subject headings and table of contents included in the book descriptions to see if anything looks useful.
Too many results? That's a sign that you can try being a bit more specific.
W&M Libraries contains a large percentage of ebooks, but don't let that stop you from looking for physical books, too! Browsing the library stacks in the section related to your topic can be a wonderful way to discover books on your topic that didn't come up in a catalog search.
